Partnership for the development of Lower Silesian MSMEs and their employees
It often happens that companies, after a period of intensified development, slow down a bit and need additional incentives to continue their dynamic growth. One way to achieve this is to improve employees’ qualifications and competences. Their work then becomes more efficient and effective.
In Lower Silesia, the ARLEG Regional Development Agency helps micro, small and medium enterprises invest in employee development through training, vocational courses and consultation services. It has a very helpful tool at its disposal, which is the Development Services Database (DSD), which is a publicly available platform offering services created for the needs of business.
Entrepreneurs representing various industries themselves decide what kind of training or consulting services they need, and search for them in the database. The agency’s help consists of the reimbursement of costs related to employee training. In this way, from November 2016 to the end of July 2019, qualifications of almost 4 thousand employees were able to be improved, and nearly 1.5 thousand Lower Silesian businesses received real aid. It is worth adding that ARLEG continues these activities in another project, also partially financed from the European Union.
