The aim of the project was to increase the competitiveness of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. Both business owners, their employees and management took advantage of these opportunities. The project was carried out by the Voivodship Labor Office in Białystok (WUP).
The project enabled entrepreneurs from Podlasie to reimburse of part of the costs incurred for staff education. Register of Development Services (RUR)was used for this goal. The purpose of RUR is to provide entrepreneurs and their employees with the possibility to freely choose the entity that provides training services. This allowed for a better adjustment of the services.
Co-financing for staff training ranged from 50% to 80% of the value of the service. In the case of employees aged over 50, as well as those with low qualifications, a maximum co-financing rate of 80% was granted.
During the project WUP announced 10 calls for proposals and signed over 1,500 contracts. WUP employees offered substantive support, including assistance in filling in application forms. The entrepreneurs from industries such as medical, construction and production emphasized that the support by the European Funds improved the economic activity of their companies.
At the request of the labour office, a report was prepared, which checked the effectiveness of the project and the satisfaction of both entrepreneurs and employees with the implemented system. The project lasted four years.
