Reconstruction of tram tracks in Szczecin - stage II
The main goal of the project is to increase the use of low-carbon urban transport in Szczecin by improving the technical condition of tram routes in the city. The main goal will be achieved by achieving the following specific objectives:
- Shortening travel time;
- Reduction of vehicle operating costs;
- Improving road safety;
- Increasing the level of security in communication;
- Reduction of the negative impact of transport on the environment (acoustic and atmospheric);
- Reduction of the negative impact of transport on the climate;
- Reduction of the costs of operating and maintaining the infrastructure;
The project involves the reconstruction of tram tracks in Szczecin, reconstruction of two rectifier substations, construction of a new rectifier station and reconstruction of the Golęcin depot. The project consists of the following tasks:
Task 1. Reconstruction of the track along with the catenary: a) along Independence Square Polish Soldier Avenue – Wyzwolenia Avenue – Rodła Plaza (together with Rodła Plaza) to Rondo Giedroyc. b) within Kołłątaja Street – Asnyka Street – Niebuszewo Loop. c) within square Of the Polish Soldier (together with the Soldier’s Square) – Hołdu Pruskiego Street – Matejki Street – Piłsudskiego Street (to Rodła Square).
Task 2. Reconstruction of the track along with the catenary along Powstańców Wielkopolskich Avenue to the Pomorzany loop along with the loop expansion and the necessary expansion and reconstruction of the road system.
Task 3. Reconstruction of the track along with the traction network along Mickiewicza Street from the Akademicki Bridge to the intersection with Brzozowski Street (with passage).
Task 4. Reconstruction of the track along with the traction network on Szarych Szeregów Plaza
Task 5. Reconstruction of the track along with the traction network at the Wyszyński node.
Task 6. Reconstruction of the Golęcin tram depot along with the necessary expansion and reconstruction of the road system at Wiszesława Street.
Task 7. Reconstruction of the Columbus rectifier substation.
Task 8. Construction of the Chmielewski rectifier substation.
Task 9. Reconstruction of the Kaszubska rectifier substation.
Task 10. Reconstruction of the track along the traction network along Nabrzeże Wieleckie Street at the height of Podwale Street – Kolumba Street – Chmielewskiego – Smolańska – Budziszyńska – until the turnouts before the Pomorzany terminus and along Nowa Street from the railway viaduct – Town Hall Plaza – Dworcowa Street at the height of the Novotel with an additional connection under the viaduct.
