The Port of Szczecin invites you to get acquainted with the main assumptions of the project “Adaptation of the DB Port Szczecin container terminal for reloading operations of vessels with a greater tonnage”

The Port of Szczecin invites you to get acquainted with the main assumptions of the project “Adaptation of the DB Port Szczecin container terminal for reloading operations of vessels with a greater tonnage”

Project is a part of the action 3.2 Development of maritime  transport, inland waterways and multimodal connections, priority axis III Development of the TENT-T road network of the multimodal transport Operational Program Infrastructure and Environment 2014-2020

The specific objectives assumed by DB Port Szczecin will be achieved through the implementation of the Project:

  • Adapting  to new technical conditions offered by the port of Szczecin in connection with the possibility of larger ships entering the port
  • Adapting to the requirements (preferences) of shipowners in terms of the size of operated ships
  • Increasing  the capacity  flow  of DB Port Szczecin calculated by the productivity of STS cranes
  • General improvement of the quality of reloading services and maintaining the competitive  position by the terminal
  • Increasing  the number of new reloadings  made by the Company
  • Increase in sales value and increase in profit level of DB Port Szczecin Sp. z o.o. and, as a result, increase the value of the company.
  • Increase of interest of potential investors in the location of operations in Szczecin  and, through feedback, increase of the cargo potential served by the terminal

In general economic dimension, the targets of the Project are:

  • Adapting  to new technical conditions offered by the port of Szczecin in connection with the possibility of larger ships entering the port
  • Adapting to the requirements (preferences) of shipowners in terms of the size of operated ships
  • Increasing  the capacity  flow  of DB Port Szczecin calculated by the productivity of STS cranes
  • General improvement of the quality of reloading services and maintaining the competitive  position by the terminal
