Development of the Culture and Recreation Centre in the Museum of the Mazovian Countryside in Sierpc
Besides being a cultural and folk heritage place and a natural site of scenic beauty, the Museum of the Mazovian Countryside in Sierpc is also a venue for recreation and leisure activities. That is where senior visitors can experience a sentimental journey back through the memories of their childhood, and where young people can come in search of their roots. The determination in pursuing its objectives, and the European funding grants received by the Museum have enabled it to develop its Culture and Recreation Centre within an idyllic forested area in close vicinity to the Skrwa River Valley escarpment, far away from busy urban life. The Centre has three components: hotel facilities, performance facilities and conference halls, and recreation and entertainment facilities. All the buildings perfectly harmonize with the natural beauty of the open-air museum, and their architecture both refers to the local tradition and is in compliance with the modern trends. This is a perfect meeting place for those looking for more sophisticated leisure entertainment, including elements of art, culture and an ambitious repertoire.
