Definiowany programowo, uniwersalny interfejs radiowy inteligentnych urządzeń Internetu Rzeczy
Przedmiotem projektu jest opracowanie definiowanego programowo, uniwersalnego interfejsu radiowego dla inteligentnych urządzeń IoT (DUCH IoT), pracującego zgodnie z międzynarodowymi standardami: LTE kat. NB1/NB2. Rezultatem projektu będzie nowy produkt w formie sprzętowo-programowego frameworku NB-IoT z konfigurowalnym podziałem realizowanych funkcji pomiędzy częścią sprzętową (zrealizowaną jako moduły IP Core opisane w języku HDL w sposób niezależny od technologii), a częścią programową systemu NB1/NB2 (zrealizowaną jako programowe moduły opracowane w języku C/C++). Przyjęta forma konfigurowalnego interfejsu radiowego umożliwia jego uniwersalną implementację w zależności od estymowanych zasobów obliczeniowych i wskaźników efektywności warstwy sprzętowej w urządzeniu docelowym, tak by zmaksymalizować efektywność operacyjną całego urządzenia i skrócić czas wdrożenia. Innowacyjna konfigurowalność programowo-sprzętowej architektury interfejsu radiowego oparta będzie m.in. na wyspecyfikowanych interfejsach programowych. Umożliwią one implementację konfigurowalnego frameworku realizującego wąskopasmową komunikację radiową dla urządzeń IoT, w którym przetwarzanie danych będzie dzielone, pomiędzy częścią programową i sprzętową a wymianę danych między obiema częściami zapewnią w/w interfejsy dające swobodę w wyborze punktów połączenia obu implementacji. Sposób wykorzystania rezultatu projektu polega na zastosowaniu frameworku do rozbudowy istniejących inteligentnych urządzeń lub realizacji specjalizowanego układu SoC, integrującego funkcjonalności interfejsu radiowego NB-IoT z innymi elementami aplikacji, np. funkcje kryptograficzne, AI (Artificial Intelligence) dla stworzenia węzła Internetu Rzeczy o wymaganych cechach, skracając czas jego wdrożenia do produkcji.
