Development of public space on Szeroka Street and Królowej Jadwigi Street in Toruń
The area of the Old Town was designated as one of the degraded areas to be implemented in the Local Revitalization Program of the City of Toruń for the years 2007-2015. The need for a comprehensive renovation of this main pedestrian area of the city resulted from the poor technical condition of the surface and the need to ensure uniform aesthetics. The main goal of the project is to increase the spatial attractiveness and improve the functionality of this most representative district of Toruń. The subject of the investment was construction works consisting of renovation of Szeroka and Królowej Jadwigi Streets together with the execution of small architecture elements. The scope of the project included sections of streets with a total length of 376m, which are a communication link between the Old Town Square and the New Town Square. The road and sanitary works were complemented by the execution of new street lighting, consisting in the installation of stylish lamps.
