Revitalization of a park in Szczodre – equipping the park with leisure amenities
The Szczodre Park is located approx. 17 km from the centre of Wrocław and it is surrounded by the remain of neogothic Sybilla Palace built at the end of the XVIIth century. Sadly, after the fire that broke out in the mid-XXth century it was almost entirely demolished. Since that time, the palace has been falling into ruins.
Luckily, thanks to the funding from the European Funds, the park area was revitalized. As a result of the investment modern playgrounds, educational paths, sport and leisure paths were created and the surface on the park trails was renovated. The whole facility is remarkable and it is by many considered the best place with playgrounds.
Thanks to these attractions the inhabitants of the Długołeka municipality and tourists gained a true meeting place with an area of as many as 28 ha!
As a result of these investments, tourist attractiveness of the region has been enhanced and physical activity, as well as natural education among both children and adults, is created.
