Revitalisation of railway line nr 25 at the section Padew - Mielec - Dębica, Stage I
The project involves preparation of project documentation for Padew – Mielec – Dębica section (from km 275.300 to 323.217) along with construction works on Mielec – Dębica section (with Mielec station).
Implementation of the project will contribute to achieving the following objectives:
- restoration of passenger traffic – shortening of travel time
- improvement of line capacity, frequency, connectivity and punctuality of provided services
- increase of rail transport accessibility
- improvement of safety of rail traffic, travellers, transported loads and road traffic at railway crossings
- achievement of objectives included in regional strategies
- reduction of negative impact of transport on environment
- improvement of passenger infrastructure, including passenger information and monitoring.
These objectives will be achieved by:
- adapting the technical infrastructure of the lines to the projected volumes of passenger and freight traffic,
- achieving the technical parameters required by (applicable to the case) regulations: TSI, other EU regulations, national regulations, applicable standards and internal regulations of PKP PLK S.A. (application of elements of high reliability and durability, including vandal resistant elements,
- equipping level crossings with modern traffic protection devices, application of solutions, systems and technologies enabling and facilitating use of infrastructure by persons with reduced mobility,
- installation of cable ducts for future connection of dynamic passenger information systems, public address systems and video monitoring systems.
