The aim of the project is to restore physical fitness, enabling individuals to take up or continue employment through the implementation of medical rehabilitation activities for 187 participants (94 women and 93 men).
The target group consists of employed individuals at risk of leaving the labor market due to health factors and unemployed persons in need of rehabilitation services, diagnosed with musculoskeletal disorders, qualifying for support in accordance with the Medical Rehabilitation Program for residents of the Łódź Voivodeship suffering from locomotor system diseases and living in the city of Łódź.
During the recruitment stage, priority will be given to individuals aged 50+ and those returning to work after a medical leave exceeding 30 days, as well as those re-entering the labor market following long-term incapacity due to rehabilitation benefits. Over the course of the project (September 2024 – March 2026), 187 participants will be recruited and divided into 17 groups to receive the following support:
- 187 participants will receive an initial rehabilitation consultation,
- 170 participants will undergo rehabilitation treatments with educational components (119 participants will receive a 10-day treatment cycle, totaling 5,950 procedures, while 51 participants will undergo a 15-day cycle, totaling 3,825 procedures; the total number of educational hours will amount to 340 hours for 170 participants),
- 170 participants will take part in 2-hour psychoeducational workshops,
- 170 participants will receive a second rehabilitation consultation,
- 34 participants will take part in physical activity sessions and receive a final consultation,
- Small sports equipment will be provided to 170 participants.
Unemployed individuals will be informed about the possibility of receiving support through employment activation projects implemented within the regional program. The project’s outcome will be the continuation or commencement of employment for 75 individuals who received health-related support.
