Project addresses the ultimate purpose of emergency management in cross-border area and enhances cross-border capacity and cooperation to save lives, preserve the environment, protect property and the economy. Project raises the understanding of risks and contributes to a safer, prosperous, sustainable, disaster resilient society in cross-border area. Ensuring a strong and seamless relationship across these components and with appropriate cross-border emergency management partners brings a critical effort to effective emergency management. Overall objective is strengthening emergency management and civil protection across Belarusian and Polish cross-border area. By involving 2 rescue units and numerous stakeholders organizations in cooperation for enhancement of safety of 10000 inhabitants of borderland and bringing on joint firemen trainings, development of strategic fire rescue infrastructure on the both sides of the border, joint workshops on the topics of cross-border fire and rescue management, joint new concept plan for cross-border emergency response system, establishment of cross-border partnership/network Project addresses common security challenges. Target group: local authorities and institutions of cross-border emergency system, fire brigades, fire rescuers and participants of workshops. Final beneficiaries: population of the borderland benefiting from developed public safety. Implementation of the project will contribute to safety increase of external borderline of European Union. Sustainable crossborder cooperation in fire and rescue field in and between borderline area municipalities developed by this project will improve preparedness to respond to any emergency situation as well as effective neutralization of them. Increased scope efficiency of Joint actions of municipal and volunteer fire and rescue services brings on the direct influence to economic development of the territory of the project because it contributes to its safety.
