Flood protection of floodplains located on the right bank of the Wisłoka River at km 50 + 500 - 57 + 800 in the area of Dębica and Kędzierz, voivodeship Podkarpackie Province.
The project consisted in the construction of new and extension of the existing right-hand flood embankments of the Wisłoka River with a total length of 4.418 km. As part of the project, the infrastructure functionally related to the constructed and extended embankments was built: 2 embankment culverts, a flood road with 11 embankment passages for the purpose of possible flood control and maintenance of the embankment.
The main objective of the project was to improve flood protection in the Wisłoka Valley in the area of Dębica and Kędzierz.
The effects of the project will minimize or completely eliminate the risk of water, and thus the tragic losses in people, their health and property, and minimize the degradation of the natural environment. The flood protection infrastructure created as part of the project will contribute to increasing the resilience of areas in these localities to threats caused by adverse climate change. The implementation of the investment will thus contribute to the improvement of the conditions and quality of life of residents and entrepreneurs who were previously threatened by the flood.
