The common challenge for partners is to deal with is to improve the quantity and quality of the rescue and firefighting equipment and the training of fire brigades in order to counteract the observed climate change and the natural disaster caused by it. The negative impacts of global climate change have intensified over the last few decades and are a serious problem in the Program area. The number of fires is increasing, but also other events such as floods, storms, fallen trees, damage to buildings, electrical networks, fires. Therefore, it is very important to improve the equipment of firefighters with modern equipment for fighting fires and removing local hazards. In addition to purchases, the experience of units, exercises on new equipment and joint learning and exchange of experiences between firefighters are very important. Project partners Trzeszczany Commune, Werbkowice Commune, Hrubieszów Commune, Mircze Commune, Dołhobyczów Commune, Hoshcha Town council, Zorya village council, Vyry village council, Mylyach village council are areas particularly vulnerable to natural disasters with a large number of forests, peat bogs and numerous rivers of Horyń, Lwa and Czakwa and the border river Bug and its tributaries, where there are many threats related to climate change, i.e. fires, flooding and floods. Rivne oblast belongs to the monitoring and negative impact zone of the Khmelnytsky nuclear power plant. The main objective of the project is to strengthen the cooperation of rescue services operating on the cross border area, in order to more effectively respond to emerging threats of forest fires and to remove the effects of natural disasters such as floods, fires and storms. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: 1. Raising the level of equipping rescue units with specialized rescue and fire-fighting equipment. 2. Raising the level of knowledge and experience of 120 rescuers from project partners. 3. Tightening cooperation and exchange of experience of rescuers from the crossborder
