Development of a line of dietary sets (products) and food additives with strong pro-health properties.
The project involved the company purchasing specialised R&D materials from the F. Górski Plant Physiology Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences, which resulted in the development of a new line of dietary products and food additives assisting the proper functioning of the body, including through a positive influence on the immune, nervous, digestive, skeletal and cardiovascular systems, thermoregulation of the body and general vitality and wellbeing.
8 new products were developed:
- Dietary sets (6 preparations in liquid form) with a high nutritional value and sensory characteristics, based on essential unsaturated fatty acids (EUFA) as well as herbal plants and aromatic oils.
- New food additives (2 preparations) in the form of flakes and granules, based on fatty acids of the EUFA group and aromatic oils which are soluble in them. The additives may be used for selected food products (yoghurt, cheeses, bread and cakes, breakfast flakes, pastes, salads, pasta) in order to increase their nutritional value.
The new products can be categorised as food intended for general consumption, supplements to the daily human diet, and foodstuffs serving to satisfy the specific nutritional needs of a selected group of consumers.
The products are distinguished by their high content of natural plant-based ingredients (100%) and their innovative composition based on plant oils and herbal plants with valuable pro-health properties, enriched with aromatic oils, which improves the sensory characteristics of the final product.
The products developed contain a combination of essential unsaturated fatty acids (EUFA), antioxidants, valuable macro- and micro-components, vitamins (from the A, C, E and D groups), fibre and ethereal substances. The wealth of nutrients and high EUFA content help counter deficits of substances essential for the proper functioning of the body.
The products are completely biodegradable.
Realisation of the project has enabled the company to become more competitive and innovative, and the products developed have been successfully launched onto the market, where they have found both individual and institutional customers.
