The high incidence of diseases transmitted by ticks, especially in Podlaskie Voivodeship, proves that this is a significant health problem that requires action. Tick-borne diseases can lead to serious health effects for example neurological disorders. This can affect the job opportunities and significantly reduces the quality of life.
The best method of protection against tick-borne diseases is to avoid contact with ticks, and in the event of a bite, remove it quickly and properly from the skin. Therefore, information and education activities under the project increase the level of knowledge and awareness of disease prevention.
