perspective
2014 - 2020

The aim of the project is to increase the tourist attractiveness of the region and protect the historic building, which is the “Zemełka’s House” tenement along with the courtyard, as well as to eventually create an Incubator of Cultural Activity in it and develop cultural and artistic activities in the Old Town area. The project includes construction work to protect, preserve and conserve the historic “Zemełka House” building. It falls under Sub-Section 4.4.1 of the WRPO 2014+. It is an undertaking consistent with the Local Revitalization Program of the City of Konin for 2016-2023 and the currently developed Strategy for the Development of the City of Konin 2020-2030. The implementation of the project is a multi-faceted undertaking, it includes with its scope construction works in the building, so that after securing it, it can then serve cultural and artistic purposes, creating a solid base for the development of cultural infrastructure. The main idea is to involve the local community in the planning and implementation of cultural and artistic projects, as well as to create conditions for the development and good life of Konin residents, including people with disabilities. As a result of the project, conditions will be created for the creation of a modern cultural offer, aimed at residents of the “Old Town” area, other residents of the city, as well as artists and tourists from Poland and abroad. The implementation of the project also responds to the problem of preserving cultural heritage, assuming modernization activities related to the preservation of the well-being of a historic building – the “Zemełka House” tenement in Konin’s Old Town. Construction works within the object, while preserving the cultural heritage, are directly related to the location of cultural services in it. The project has a supra-local scope, it will be used by the residents of Konin, Greater Poland and Poland, and is of key importance to the beneficiary, due to its inclusion in the city’s development priorities, as defined in the new Konin City Development Strategy 2020-2030, which is currently under construction, as well as the priorities of the Development Strategy of Wielkopolskie Voivodeship.
