Implementation of a design strategy in Kompol Sp. z o.o.
Kompol company was founded in 1989. Its main activity consists in the production and distribution of plastic and paper packaging. The company supplies its products to nationwide retail chains and drugstores. The aim of the project was to increase the company’s competitiveness through developing its potential in skilful design management. The implementation of the project responded to the analysis of the market and consumers’ needs, as well as followed Kompol’s strategy of building the company’s competitive advantage on the market as a manufacturer of high quality affordable products applying advanced technologies and comprehensive solutions. The project consisted in: launching new products on the market – functional and ergonomic paper packaging and a new “eco” product line – mono-material translucent paper packaging, implementation of new manufacturing technologies through upgrading the company’s technological resources, and development of the company’s visual identification. For these purposes, modern machinery has been purchased: a machine for production of block paper packaging and a machine for production of folded paper packaging, enabling the efficient and ecological manufacture of new paper bag designs.
