The project to be carried out in Lviv, Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk regions in Ukraine and Podkarpackie voivodeship in Poland aimes at creation and promotion on the base of the common cultural heritage of the moutanious part of the Ukrainian-Polish border new tourist product – Carpathian Wooden Architecture Route. The project aim to address the following problems: lack of system approach to promotion and preservation of common historical and cultural heritage on the project area, lack of complex crossborder tourist products, as well as the low level of local population awareness of the significance of the heritage (esp. on the Ukrainian side). The implementation of the project will lead to the creation of common crossborder route and its promotion, as well as increasing of local population awareness concerning the management of cultural heritage. A target groups: local leaders; religious communities, tourism industry, local and regional media, representatives of local and regional governments related to the region promotion. Final beneficiaries: tourists, regional and local governments, non-governmental organizations, population of project area. The project is of a significant importance for people living in mountanious region of Polish–Ukrainian border areas and tourists. Creation and promotion of Carpathian Wooden Architecture Route will bring together local leaders; religious communities, tourism industry, regional media, representatives of local and regional governments from 4 border regions in order to impelment joint actions concerning preservation and promotion of the historical and cultural heritage.
