Development by the Łukasiewicz Research Network of an innovative, ready-to-implement lightweight white refractory concrete for APR Adam Jędraszek as an opportunity for the company's development.
The company APR Adam Jędraszek was established in 2014. The main activity of the company is widely understood mechanical processing of metal elements. In addition, the company produces tiles. The subject of the project was the development of an innovative product by the Łukasiewicz Research Network – lightweight white refractory concrete with a complex functional surface without air pockets, for operation in conditions of uncontrolled temperature rise. As a result of the research work, APR Adam Jędraszek received from the Institute a recipe for an innovative concrete mix and a prototype of the target form for casting the developed concrete, along with the test results. Fittings, made as a result of casting these forms, are used as internal lining of combustion chambers in fireplace inserts and in various types of stoves. The APR company has introduced on the market the universal dimensions of fittings that can be easily adapted to the sizes of various stoves or fireplaces.

The implementation of the project allowed to introduce to the product offer of APR Adam Jędraszek new, innovative fittings, made of light white, refractory concrete with a complicated functional surface, without air pockets, for operation in conditions of uncontrolled temperature rise. This concrete has been used as internal cladding for fireplace hearths.
