"Active Senior" - Day centre for senior citizens in Gorlice.
The building of the former Polish-Slovak house at ul. Rynek 1 now serves senior citizens from Gorlice and from the Gorlice district. Thanks to European funding, a day care centre for people over 60 in need of care will operate there until June 2023.
The EU funds have helped to adapt the facility for its new function and also to cover the costs of running the facility, so that the DDS offer is available to the residents free of charge. From Monday to Friday for min. 8 hours, the seniors receive, among other things, care and nursing, meals, interesting activities, counselling by a dietician, psychologist, speech therapist, rehabilitation exercises and physiotherapy courses. As a result, they are more independent and active in their daily endeavours.
Informal caregivers of people in need of care can also count on the centre’s professional help and advice.
