Start your own business! Try being your own boss! Test yourself in business! 34 unemployed residents of 9 communes of the Bytów county aged 30+ believed in the power of these words. With their own business in mind, they applied for the second edition of the “Business School” project.
During recruitment, preference was given to people in a particularly difficult situation on the labor market, as well as those planning to hire employees, which increased the positive impact of the project.
Thanks to the support from the European Social Fund, project participants took part in training preparing them to run their own business and received financial support in amounts up to PLN 54 thousand to purchase necessary equipment and to cover current expenses related to the company’s operation. The above mentioned 34 people are currently running their own businesses.
Each of the stories is different: for some it was a way to start working after long-term unemployment, for others it was a chance to return to the labor market after a break due to raising children, for others it was an opportunity to realize their dreams or to combine their passions with a way to earn a living.
By implementing projects increasing self-employment, it is hoped that the resulting businesses will be present in the local and regional market for years to come.
