MPEC-Konin Sp. z o.o. intends to proceed with this project, the scope of which is presented below:
- Construction of a Heat Plant building, which will house equipment for the collection of thermal energy from geothermal water. The building will be adapted for internal modular construction. An electrical switchgear module with a thermal control room will be built, as well as a process hall with heat exchangers, a filter station with a geothermal water injection booster pump and grid water pumps.
- Construction of a sealed auxiliary reservoir with a capacity of about 2,000 m3 near the heat plant building.
- Construction of the Konin GT-3 well with a pipeline connecting it to the Geothermal Heat Plant. The task of the Konin GT-3 borehole will be to identify the absorptive properties of the Lower Jurassic formations and the intake of thermal waters, and ultimately, as part of the operation of the geothermal plant, this borehole will serve as an absorption borehole into which the cooled thermal waters captured by the Konin GT-1 borehole will be injected. If in the course of recognizing the properties of the GT-3 borehole it turns out that it has better extraction parameters than the GT-1 borehole, it is possible to change the functions of the GT-1 and GT-3 boreholes, that is, GT-3 as an extraction borehole, GT-1 as an absorption borehole. The structural solution of both holes allows for such use.
- Installation of equipment for receiving thermal energy from the geothermal borehole.
- Construction of a district heating connection from the planned Geothermal Heat Plant to the existing district heating main.
- Construction of electrical switchgear and thermal control room.
