Development of an improved product group of prefabricated vibro-pressed concrete blocks, made of mixtures with depleted cement content, with the use of non-standard combustion by-products.
As part of the project, the company commissioned a research unit: Ag-Cel Laboratorium P. Rydygier, I. Trzynski Sp.J to develop an improved product group: small- and large-size surface products in the form of paving stones, paving slabs, curbs and masonry elements of increased durability and reduced environmental impact. The achievement of such properties was possible owing to the appropriate selection of proportions of particular raw materials in the newly-developed formula and maintaining proper technological standards. The new group of products, created thanks to the research, shall be manufactured in the Beneficiary’s plant and used to build pavements, roads, car parks and walls. Owing to the use of by-products of combustion process, the manufacture of innovative products will be characterized by better performance parameters and at the same time lower use of cement and natural resources. The project responded to the needs of the market, most importantly for high durability of products, especially resistance to changing weather conditions, and reduced negative impact on the environment.

As part of the R&D works, a prototype was created and tested. Technological guidelines were specified which, owing to the implementation of the planned investment in fixed assets, will enable the company to start mass production of the improved product group. The introduction of the newly designed products onto the market shall significantly improve the company’s competitiveness, increase its revenue and expand its market. The applied solutions will give the products a groundbreaking character on the Polish market.
