Construction of a Municipal Waste Selective Collection Point in the Gruta Commune
By implementing the project entitled “Construction of the Municipal Waste Selective Collection Point in the Gruta Commune”, a separate waste collection point was created, which ensures proper management in terms of the waste type and its harmfulness to the environment.
The undertaking enabled supplementation of the municipal waste management system operating in the commune. Waste that is not collected directly from the property in accordance with the cleanliness and order regulations will be collected with a particular caution by PSZOK (Punkt Selektywnej Zbiórki Odpadów Komunalnych – Municipal Waste Selective Collection Point). Residents will deliver waste to the appropriate containers, bins and rooms that will constitute the point equipment. The waste delivered to the PSZOK (Punkt Selektywnej Zbiórki Odpadów Komunalnych – Municipal Waste Selective Collection Point) premises will be temporarily stored and then transported for further processing. PSZOK (Punkt Selektywnej Zbiórki Odpadów Komunalnych – Municipal Waste Selective Collection Point) in Gruta will be a safe place for environment and people and it will provide a lawful collection and storage place for municipal waste. The waste will be thereafter transferred for reuse, recycling and recovery by other methods, in accordance with the waste proceedings hierarchy.

Within the investment a professional PSZOK (Punkt Selektywnej Zbiórki Odpadów Komunalnych – Municipal Waste Selective Collection Point) was created from scratch, equipped with:
– its own, fully equipped, office facilities, including an IT system correlated with the weight system;
– warehouses and a workshop equipped with a basic set of tools;
– containers essential for the collection and storage of various types of waste;
– its own transport ( a tractor and a trailer as well as cleaning equipment on the installation premises).
As a facility constructed in the Gruta Commune, PSZOK (Punkt Selektywnej Zbiórki Odpadów Komunalnych – Municipal Waste Selective Collection Point) also plays a very important educational role. The youngest Gruta residents will learn how to properly use the surrounding environment with the help of an educational path.
