Polish-Ukrainian territories along modern border line is rich on shared historical heritage. Program Territory that includes Volyn oblast and Lublin voivodeship is home of famous writer, cultural and public person Yusef-Ignatsiy Kraszewsky. Rich heritage of Polish-Ukrainian border Polissya had important impact on his life and work. This local aspect of such outstanding person is mostly unknown in Ukraine thus it has good potential to become additional historical and cultural place of interest in development of its touristic potential. The project aims to facilitate a transfer of knowledge of Polish partner about common historical figures that can be useful in social-economic development of cross-border region combined with existing and newly created under project activities channels of popularization of regional historical heritage. The overall objective of the project – facilitation of use of cultural and historical heritage resources of Polish-Ukrainian crossborder region for better visibility of cultural and touristic potential for tourism development purposes. Among main outputs of the project are: – theatrical art event for schooling youth of 12-17 years; – displays, booklet, touristic tour and a variety of promotional activities for inhabitants and visitors of Polish-Ukrainian cross-border region; – study workshops for representatives of museums, cultural departments in local administrations, cultural and touristic organizations for knowledge exchange and professional development, exchanging ideas and best practices on popularization of local points of interest. Target groups and final beneficiary under project will receive valuable experience of cross-border cooperation. Joint participation in project activities will broaden understanding of historical heritage, prominent local persons in particular and will have constructive effect on development of tourism potential of the region and more effective use of joint local historical and cultural resources
