Support the implementation of the reform process introducing a new model of mental health care system for children and adolescents
The aim of the project is to strengthen the process of implementation of the reform introducing a new model of mental health care system for children and adolescents by supporting centers of particular reference levels and entities planning to transform themselves into institutions of the new model during the project implementation period throughout Poland.
Bearing in mind the types of projects listed in Measure 5.2 of POWER, this project is classified as a project to support deinstitutionalization of care for dependent persons, through the development of alternative forms of care for dependent persons (including the elderly).
The overarching goal of the project is to develop and disseminate (at least among the supported facilities) organizational and diagnostic-therapeutic standards for each reference level, along with training the staff of treatment entities in these standards.
The developed standards will be transferred to treatment entities with a recommendation for use by all providers in the public system at least by means of a document signed by the National Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and adolescents or Plenipotentiary (if appointed) – for entities at all reference levels. The project’s partner is UKSW, which will monitor how the reform of the entire system is carried out, as well as provide training for the leaders of treatment entities.
