The subject of the Project implementation will be the purchase of motorcycles for the Police, which will be located throughout the country, in accordance with the guidelines of the Police Headquarters. The equipment purchased under the Project is to meet the most urgent needs of the Police in the field of efficient road traffic supervision and other official activities related to shaping proper attitudes and behavior among road users, and thus ensuring road safety and responding to road accidents. Its amount corresponds to the needs resulting from the equipment standard, as well as the vehicles to be withdrawn in the coming years. The equipment intended for purchase under the Project – 478 heavy motorcycles for the road traffic service will be a response to the identified social and economic problems and will allow to achieve the goals provided for in the project and described in this study. The equipment that will be delivered to the Police road service must meet the safety and functionality requirements so that officers can perform their duties without any obstacles. As part of the project, 876 sets of outfits for motorcyclists will also be purchased, including: a summer jacket for a motorcyclist with a lining, a winter jacket with a waterproof lining, pants with a waterproof lining (used in summer and winter), a warning vest for Police officers on duty on motorcycles, summer gloves, winter gloves, boots. The key element of the effective implementation for use of the purchased motorcycles is the organization and conduct of training of their users in the improvement of riding techniques in the center of improving the technique of riding a motorcycle (2 policemen for a motorcycle). Additional tasks of the project will be the development of a feasibility study and promotional activities.
