Aim of the project:

Increasing the effectiveness of police activities in the field of improvement/protection of road safety.

Effective supervision of road traffic, including both in the field of preventing crimes and offences, as well as monitoring traffic flow, requires performing duty by patrolling the route and performing activities in a designated place. An important element of the work of police officers is the preventive impact on road users, therefore it is necessary to both serve in a recognizable uniform and with the use of a marked police car. The purchase of marked police cars will contribute to a more efficient and effective implementation of tasks by police officers who, through their actions, affect road safety.

Effective enforcement of speed limit regulations is one of the elements affecting the safety of citizens in the field of road traffic. The police must therefore have the right tools to carry out effective surveillance, and such tools include laser speed meters with image recording. Equipping traffic police officers with modern laser speed meters will significantly increase the level of road safety, because it will enable precise measurement from a greater distance, as well as giving a signal to stop well in advance, which will ensure the possibility of smooth and safe stopping of the vehicle in conditions of increased traffic. It should therefore be assumed that equipping the Police units with laser instruments will allow to carry out supervision in the field of speed measurement in an efficient and effective manner, directly affecting the state of road safety.

Action:

  • Purchase and delivery of 100 pcs. marked police cars.
  • Purchase and delivery of 100 pcs. laser speed meters with image recording.
  • Purchase of information and promotional materials and a commemorative plaque.
  • Management costs purchase: photo, audio-video equipment and IT equipment, additional remuneration for team members.
