perspective
2014 - 2020

Common finalizing of a project „Baltic for All” showed us the potential in active tourism for people with disabilities and seniors. Despite the many actions that local governments are taking to include this target group in the problem-free active tourism, it turns out that there is still a lot of work to be done internationally. Water sports turned out to be an excellent innovative undertaking, which, thanks to the trained staff of trainers working with people with disabilities, is the starting point for a number of additional activities to make the offers of the Baltic regions complete. People with disabilities are a group of people still treated with some kind of distance, despite the fact that one moment is enough for every healthy person to spend the rest of their life in a wheelchair or suffer any other type of disability that will accompany them for the rest of their lives. Another group of people we see as the target group in the project are seniors who need to spend their free time actively and need help from others. We believe that there is still much to be done in the area of active tourism for people with dis. and seniors, and we want our municipalities to become a model example of what the Baltic Sea areas can offer based on the region’s potential, respecting the environment and using blue and green tourism. Cooperation in „ACTIVE FOR ALL”, its important elements which is active sport, tourism, integration and inclusion in the area of Baltic Sea will contribute to attractiveness of these areas of the Baltic Sea in the following years. By caring of the environment in order to maintaining its attractiveness and activation of local communities, together with local government it will contribute to build the common good. Seed money will help to fund joint workshops, seek additional partners, building the final project at a common approach and designing the mechanism of the project action. Seed money is crucial for identyfying the final scope of the project.
