„Life science and welfare technology constitute an emerging common business position of strength in the SB-region, health innovation being regional priorities especially in Skåne (SE), Själland (DK) and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (DE). The global market for life science and welfare technology solutions is growing rapidly as a result of more senior citizens, as well as an increase in the number of citizens with lifestyle and chronic diseases. The development of health innovations, including tools, processes and services, should be done together with end-users (i.e. citizens, health professionals and policymakers), and represent both a support-base and scientific evidence for data-driven innovation. The SB-region can become a showcase for problem-based innovative healthcare solutions using health data, for the benefit of growth, employment, exports and not least public health and health care throughout the area. Use of new technology, is on the rise. AI based devices need comparable healthcare and healthcare data, from several countries in order to get volume in the production of the device after the development phase. It is almost impossible for startups to get access to crossborder healthcare data. Hence there is a need for cross boarder investigation of this field in a public private cross boarder set up. The project is fully in line with the selected Specific Objectives as it adresses a need in the south Baltic area for transferring innovation models and tools to SME’s.The Seed Money is needed to have cross-border workshops and meetings to be able to work jointly on the concept paper; to build up a partnership for at future regular project; and to build a network of interested stakeholders. Actions planned in the Seed Money project are cross-border transfer of knowledge as well as exchange of experiences regarding health care data. In the Seed Money project we will carry out investigations for solutions and their potential for pilot implementation. „
