Improvement of the accessibility of the The Trans-European Transport Network within the road junctions of the S8 and S2 expressways in the Warsaw junction of the The Trans-European Transport Network - construction of sections of Gandhi Street and Lazurowa Street
Project „Improvement of the accessibility of the The Trans-European Transport Network within the road junctions of the S8 and S2 expressways in the Warsaw junction of the The Trans-European Transport Network – construction of sections of Gandhi Street and Lazurowa Street” includes two investment tasks, the implementation of which will enable direct connection of exits from expressways with the existing road infrastructure, i.e.
- Expansion of the district road – Lazurowa Street (Nowo-Lazurowa) on the section Gorczewska – Al. Obrońców Grodna (investment in progress), length: 468m.
This fragment is part of the road junction with the S8 expressway. The scope of the project includes the construction of the second roadway and the replacement of the existing roadway structure, along with the construction of pavements and roads for bicycles, the intersection of Lazurowa Street from Narvik Street with traffic lights, reconstruction and construction of drainage and lighting.
- Construction of Gandhi Street on the section of Pilecki Street – Płaskowicka Street in Warsaw to exspressway S2 to the border of GDDKiA solutions (investment completed).
The above investment was completed in 2019. Currently (after completion of the investment) the section with a length of 519 m is connected with Płaskowicka Street connecting with the S2 expressway, as well as with Pilecki Street. The task included the construction of two roadways with two lanes in each direction and the construction of sidewalks, bicycle paths and pedestrian and bicycle routes along Gandhi Street, parking spaces and public transport stops were built, intersections with Pustuleczki Street and Alternatives, Polish Roads, Pilecki.
