perspective
2014 - 2020

The BeLIVE project is a pilot project whose activities will focus on the goal of increasing the development of the natural and cultural heritage resources of the South Baltic area into sustainable tourism destinations by building an identity as a Baltic family through the cooperation of local governments, NGOs, formal and informal groups of enthusiasts. The tasks of the seed project are broader diagnosis, discernment, outputs from all partners. This will only be achieved through physical meetings finansed by seed money. The challenge of the regular project is the strong need to activate local resources in order to enrich local cultural heritage resources by increasing the capacity of the institutions involved to create new or improve existing tourism products (and attractions) adapted to different age groups. In a regular project, we want, among other things, to use a tool of modern technology such as a scanner to digitise historical objects and bring them into the world of virtual reality. This is a way of saving historical objects from oblivion to make them more accessible and alive (hence the acronym BeLIVE). With this project we want to disseminate national assets, create a platform for contacts and strengthen bonds of cooperation so that what was previously little known becomes recognisable and close to the visitors (tourists) of the regions cooperating in the project. The BeLIVE project addresses situations related to the existence of barriers (obstacles) to achieving the intended goals of recognition of the national assets of the individual project partners. We will also involve other partners from the Baltic Sea: Germany, Scandinavia in the regular project. The project is also about strengthening the cohesion of the macro-region with the use of cultural heritage aimed at the sustainable development of the regions by implementing instruments to respect tangible and intangible cultural assets and facilitating access to their knowledge by means of remote tools.
