perspective
2021 - 2027

The project involves cross-border cooperation between Independent Public Health Care Complex in Hrubieszow (Poland) and Rozhysche multidisciplinary hospital of Rozhysche city council (Ukraine) in the field of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal disorders. The joint initiative responds to a problem identified in the joint Interreg NEXT PL-UA 2021-2027 Program strategy, i.e. the growing number of people in the post-productive age, and thus the increasing demand for health care. A special area of it is rehabilitation, from which largely benefited by seniors who are exposed to disabilities related both to the natural aging process and to injuries and overloads recorded during their working lives. The project involves investment in public services aimed at improving the well-being of the aging population and mitigating the effects of adverse demographic changes on the population in the area of influence of the project partners. Investment and training activities in the field of rehabilitation also support the resilience of health care systems in Poland and Ukraine. They allow to maintain as large a percentage of the population in labor activity, thereby reducing the risk of having to provide more personnel or hospital beds necessary for medical care of the disabled and elderly people. Keeping elderly people in healthy for as long as possible and early rehabilitation of people after physical injury, will help limit the increase in the number of disabled people (which brings with it the need for more financial outlays and additional staff resources needed to care for these people). The main objective of the project is to improve access to high-quality therapeutic rehabilitation of the musculoskeletal and nervous system in the Hrubieszow district and Lutsk region. As a result of the project, the Hospital in Hrubieszow will modernize and equip with kinesitherapy and physical therapy equipment, as well as furniture eqipment and IT equipment to inpatient
