Projekt obejmuje zadania wykraczające poza podstawowe zasady dobrej praktyki rybackiej. Pozytywnie zwiększy oddziaływanie akwakultury na środowisko przyrodnicze. Będzie realizowany z poszanowaniem zasad horyzontalnych, a w szczególności dotyczących równości kobiet i mężczyzn, równości szans i niedyskryminacji oraz dostępności dla osób z niepełnosprawnościami. Projekt będzie również realizowany zgodnie z celami zrównoważonego rozwoju.
