Pomimo pozytyw. przemian odsetek OzN z wykszt. wyższym jest wciąż znacznie niższy w stosunku do os. w pełni sprawnych. W r. akad. 2021/22 w polskich uczelniach kształciło się 19,9 tys. OzN (1,7% ogólnej l. ST), a ukończyło tylko 5,4 tys.[dane GUS z 2021]. Liczba OSP w PL nie jest znana. Zg. z infor. pozyskanymi z poradni oświat., jest znacznie wyższa niż OzN. Nadchodzące pokolenie kandydatów na studia wychowało się w systemie uwzględniania ich szczeg. potrzeb w eduk.(opinie i orzecz. o szczeg. potrzebach eduk. wydawane przez poradnie oświat.) i oczekuje od uczelni (U) podobnej otwartości. U odpowie na te potrzeby i stanie się dzięki P uczelnią otwartą dla OSP/OzN, w tym młodego pokolenia – UCZELNIĄ DOSTĘPNĄ DLA KAŻDEGO. Cel: Wzrost dostępności Uniwersytetu WSB Merito w Gdańsku (UWSB) poprzez wdrożenie kompleksowych działań na rzecz niwelowania barier w dostępie do edukacji na poziomie wyższym dla osób ze szczególnymi potrzebami (OSP), w tym dla osób z niepełnospr. (OzN) i zapewnienie im równego dostępu do oferty Uczelni, z uwzględnieniem wszystkich obszarów funkcjonowania UWSB w ramach ś. START we współpracy z Fundacją Aktywności Zawodowej (FAZ) od 01.09.2024 do 28.02.2027[KD7]. Projekt (P) ma na celu poprawę sytuacji całej U w zakresie dostęp. dla OSP/OzN, i uwzględnia działania we wszystkich jednostkach organiz. UWSB. UWSB–po audycie opartym o kartę samooc.–dokonał wyboru ś. START i zobowiązuje się do spełnienia na wyjściu wszystkich wymagań przewidzianych dla tej ścieżki [KD4]. Grupa docelowa (GD):UWSB jako podmiot bezpośr. korzystający ze wsparcia EFS+. W ramach obszaru (O)8 -zad. 5 uczestnikami projektu (UP) będą pracow. U: kadra kierownicza (KK), nauczyciele akademiccy(NA), niebędący nauczycielami akad.(NNA), ł.134os.108K,26M. Pośrednio ST i wszystkie OzN/OSP korzyst. z oferty U.
