perspective
2021 - 2027

The project “Clean Water for All” aims to address critical water and sewer infrastructure challenges in the cross-border areas of Augustów and Burshtyn. The overarching goal is to provide clean and safe drinking water, protect water resources, promote sustainable water use, and foster socio-economic development. The project tackles four main problems: inadequate water infrastructure, lack of environmental awareness, limited cross-border cooperation, and insufficient socio-economic development. These issues lead to compromised health, hindered economic growth, and environmental degradation. To mitigate these challenges, the project focuses on upgrading water and sewer networks, raising environmental consciousness, fostering cross-border collaboration, and enhancing infrastructure. It aims to create a comprehensive water management framework that benefits residents, educational institutions, local authorities, investors, and tourists. The project’s general objective aligns with the Poland-Ukraine Interreg Program 2021-2027 priorities, emphasizing sustainable water management, circular economy transformation, and environmental protection. Specific objectives include environmental protection, balancing infrastructure disparities, and strengthening cross-border collaboration. By implementing advanced technologies, responsible water use campaigns, and infrastructure improvements, the project strives to achieve sustainable growth while preserving the environment. It aims to reduce water losses, enhance efficiency, and minimize pollution.
