Construction of a cross-border communication route Jaworzynka-Ćierne for the planned Polish-Slovakian tourist border crossing point
The idea of the project implementation followed from cooperation that took place between the Istebna Gmina Office and its Slovakian neighbour, Obec Čierne, who prepared a complementary project entitled “BUDÚCNOSŤ TROJMEDZIA – rozvoj trojmedzia na slovensko – poľskom územi”. Both complementary applications were awarded co-financing in the 2nd call for proposals from the resources of the European Regional Development Fund under the INTERREG IIIA programme Poland-Slovakia. The level of their complementary points to the fact that these are rather common projects.
The scope of the Istebna Gmina project covers the construction of the communication (“Three-junctions” road, pavement) and technical (footbridge) infrastructure leading to the planned tourist border crossing point at the Polish-Slovakian border.
