All-Poland campaign of promoting Silesia's tourist products
Staying in Silesia – for holidays, a weekend or just a few hours – gives you all the very best: activity, movement, dynamism, sports, health, fun. Here, you can quickly recharge your batteries by resting, sightseeing, hiking, skiing, swimming, flying… In a word, it gives you positive energy.
Silesia is a place where you can pursue any passion, even the most extraordinary! Just like the Passionauts, the heroes and ambassadors of a great nationwide campaign to promote the attractions of Silesia. Their strength lies in their authenticity, commitment and positive, dynamic message.
Levitating, flying or hovering above the Earth in the fun-filled “space-travel” ads, the Passionauts encouraged every-one to break away from humdrum rea-lity. To explore the Beskid Śląski and Beskid Żywiecki, meet the locals, experience their hospitality, enjoy the colourful folk art and amazing craft. They re-commended activities in the Jura where people flock for rock climbing, historical trails and scenic ruins. They invited visitors to follow the fascinating Trail of Old Engineering with its mysterious shafts, old mines, museums of bread, beer, matches… They praised the heavenly tastes of regional delicacies served by hospitable hosts in cosy inns, lovely taverns and idyllic farmhouses.
A website was created for the sake of the dynamic campaign (www.pasjonauci.pl) and unconventional forms of communication were also utilized. The newly launched Facebook site “Silesia – Positive Energy” acted as the command centre for the entire campaign, attracting users with an array of competitions and quizzes. The most popular bloggers also contributed to promoting the region.
The all-Poland campaign “Silesia – The Passionauts Recommend” presented the region as an exciting place, attractive for visitors, accessible and hospitable. A place where you’ll want to return to discover new and thrilling leisure options. The Silesian campaign was nominated for the main award in the 4th contest Poland Even More Beautiful.
