Modernization of the viaduct over the PKP tracks along Powązkowska Street
The investment consisting in the reconstruction of the viaduct over the PKP tracks is located along Powązkowska Street, on the border of Żoliborz and Wola Districts.
The subject of the project was the reconstruction of the viaduct consisting in the complete replacement of the structure of the object, construction of new retaining walls, reconstruction of the section of Powązkowska St. along with intersections with Duchnicka St. and Tatarska St., construction of the viaduct drainage system and access roads, traffic lights, lighting and other elements of road infrastructure along with reconstruction parts of railway equipment in the investment area. In addition, the design provided for the construction of a dual carriageway street with two lanes each, with a separation strip and a one-sided walkway and one-sided pedestrian and bicycle route. Bus bays and stops were built near the intersection with Ulica Duchnicka. As a result of the project, a bridge structure with a load capacity class “A” was created, which is capable of carrying loads from vehicles at the level of 500 kN.
