Full title: A Multifaceted Quality Improvement Intervention in the Cultural Mission Program of the National Museum in Warsaw and Making the Museum More Accessible to the General Public through the Revitalization and Modernization of Its Branch, the Warsaw Citadel, Including, in Particular, Its Tenth Pavilion, Its Eleventh Pavilion, the Bielańska Gate and the Courtyard

Project description: Since 1990, the Warsaw Citadel has been part of the National Museum in Warsaw. It is one of the major Polish memorials to all the martyrs and fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives standing up for the partitioned homeland, well known not only to Varsovians, but also to history lovers worldwide. The inmates of one of the casemate buildings called the 10th Pavilion included such outstanding Poles as Romuald Traugutt, Józef Piłsudski, and Roman Dmowski. The agreement on the revitalization of the 10th and the 11th Pavilions of the Warsaw Citadel together with the Bielańska Gate was signed on 23rd February, 2013, i.e. on the 150th anniversary of the outbreak of the January Uprising and on the 50th anniversary of establishing the Museum in the interiors of the 10th Pavilion. Today, that area of historical significance owes its revival to the title project investment which will surely attract to it still more visitors both from the country and from abroad.
