Full Tittle: Reviving the areas of historical significance, cultural heritage sites, and important public spaces in Szydłowiec, and improving the functionality of its entertainment infrastructure and its tourist facilities, as well as their availability to the residents of Mazovia.

Description:  The scope of change effected within the area of the municipality of Szydłowiec since 2008 is huge and impressive. It is underlain by the revitalization of the old quarter of the town, the project towards which the municipality has received 25 million zlotys in European funding. Restoration work has been conducted on the historical buildings of the old castle converted into a palace which is currently housing the Museum of Musical Instruments, as well as conference halls and exhibit and educational areas. Other places of cultural and historical interest that have been revived in Szydłowiec include the Radziwiłł Family Park, the castle island, the Staromiejski (Old Town) Square, as well as Radomska Street and the Grand Marketplace which have received open green spaces with recreation and food facilities and services benefiting tourists. A significant transformation has also occurred to The Oak Tree House („Pod Dębem”) , a hotel with a restaurant and a tourist information centre. The Public Library has been relocated from the castle to the newly restored „Scout House”, currently shared by it with the Szydłowiec History Workshop and with the Regional Library Multimedia Resources Centre.
