Reconstruction of overpass over railway between Gliwice and Opole along national road no 88 (aleja Jana Nowaka Jeziorańskiego) in Gliwice
The subject of the project was the reconstruction of overpass over railway between Gliwice and Opole along national road no 88 (aleja Jana Nowaka Jeziorańskiego) in Gliwice as well as modernization of access roads and the construction of rain water sewer system. The aim of the project was the improvement of safety on the national road and to increase transport accessibility of the grounds neighbouring the road no 88.
It was achieved by increasing traffic capacity of the road section concerned in the project – after the reconstruction it was possible to use four traffic lanes again. Before the launch of the project only two lanes were open for traffic what reduced traffic flow especially in rush hours. Thanks to increased traffic capacity and average speed on the road section it was possible to reduce: duration of transit, exploitation costs and pollution.
