Modernization of Aleje Jerozolimskie - construction of the Łopuszańska - Kleszczowa interchange.
The investment constituted the next stage of completing the reconstruction of Aleje Jerozolimskie in the Włochy District in Warsaw, towards the exit from the city, to the west. By building this junction, the traffic on the city’s outgoing route has been significantly improved, the transport service in this area of Warsaw has improved, in particular by solving the problems of torsion relations from Aleje Jerozolimskie to Łopuszańska Street and connecting the adjacent area with the city’s basic communication system.
The project included:
- construction of a three-level node with a central island,
- construction of double-sided walkways and bicycle paths,
- construction of bus stops equipped with parking bays and bus shelters,
- construction of storm water drainage system,
- reconstruction of water supply connections,
- reconstruction of power and teletechnical lines,
- construction of new lighting.
The junction has three levels. The excavation runs the main road of Aleje Jerozolimskie with a cross section of 2×3 lanes running under the intersection at level -1 in relation to the ground level. The intersection with the so-called central island, controlled by traffic lights. The flyovers were directly led over the intersection at level +1 and connected Łopuszańska Street with Aleje Jerozolimskie towards Pruszków. This connection facilitated access to the “Salomea Wolica” route. The junction with Łopuszańska Street was the last stage in the reconstruction of Aleje Jerozolimskie to the city limits.
Construction works have been completed.
