Implementation of an innovative technology for the production of hydrophore facade tiles manufactured on the basis of white ceramic (clinker) mass
Project scope: The beginnings of the company date back to 1972. Since then, the company specializes in the production of the highest quality ceramics, based on the traditional clinker production method. In December 2013, a new production plant was launched, which is currently the most modern factory in Europe, producing extruded clinker tiles. The maximum production capacity of the new plant is around 60-70 million tiles a year.
The subject of the project was the start of the production of innovative hydrophobic clinker tiles from white ceramic mass, which are the result of R&D works. The developed products are innovative on a national and European scale. There are no clinker products on the Polish market that have hydrophobic (water impermeable) properties or are made of white clinker mass. Currently, domestic clinker is produced on the basis of red Triassic clays containing hematite, which give the products a red color. There are two world leaders operating in the EU who supply clinker products made of white ceramic mass. Their products are also sold in Poland. However, they are difficult to access and at the same time very expensive, which is why few customers can afford them. In addition, competing products do not have hydrophobic properties, which are extremely important for light facade products.Lack of this property causes reduction of durability and aesthetics during assembly and many years of use. The issuing of a mining exploitation permit in 2013, a stoneware clay deposit near Borkowice, initiated new opportunities for the company.As part of the project implementation, it was necessary to construct the building and purchase (delivery, assembly and commissioning) of technological equipment necessary during the technological process of implementing the innovative technology for the production of hydrophobic clinker tiles based on white ceramic mass.
Project goals:As a result of several years of research, the entrepreneur has developed a technology that made it possible to start the production of innovative Polish clinker products based on white ceramic mass. In addition, they have hydrophobic properties.

The products are distributed in Poland and other countries such as the Czech Republic, Hungary, Ukraine, Russia, Latvia, Romania, Turkey, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Moldova and Slovakia.
