Initiating production of a new generation of steam absorbers for steam convection ovens.
Project completion period:01.01.2016 – 31.12.2018
The beneficiary of the programme has launched steam absorbers for steam convection ovens onto the market – this is a new generation of product resulting from many years of research.
During the time it was working on the solution, RETECH obtained the status of Research and Development Centre, and the results of the test carried out as an RDC led to a further stage of actions in the form of the present project.
The company introduced the innovation in line with the objectives. A product was created whose parameters are ultimately configured individually for each client. Finally, a module type is used which is selected especially for the client’s needs – whether this is a front condenser, fibre filter or high efficiency air filter (HEPA).
The success of the project was made possible by the use of a dedicated integrated production line – starting from the moment the material enters the warehouse, right up to when the product is packed in the dispatch department.
For the purposes of the enterprise, an integrated pipe cutter was purchased, as were self-loading sheet cutters. Devices were also bought for monitoring and displaying weld quality. An automated cutting and pressing system was created, and the TIG laser welding line was robotised.
The EU aid also enabled care to be taken of the complete assembly area with integrated packing according to the technological objectives set. The equipment acquired had all the necessary fittings and installation.
Under the project, the aforementioned development work was, of course, continued. Some final technological modifications were made until the desired effects were achieved.
Thanks to the EU funds, RETECH implemented the results of the R&D work, and the entirety was verified by the Institute of Heating Technology of the Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice.
