The main reason that encouraged the Beneficiary to implement the described investment is the desire to improve air quality in Wrocław. Air quality will be improved by reducing the emission of pollutants (mainly dust and carbon dioxide). This goal will be achieved thanks to the increase in the efficiency of heat distribution for communal purposes. The material scope includes a comprehensive reconstruction of the duct heating network with a diameter of 2xDn40-2xDn500 mm (which was built in the 1980s) into a pre-insulated network – the modernization covers a network with a length of 1.0 km. The investment is implemented in the area covered by the low-emission economy plan for the Integrated Territorial Investments of the Wrocław Functional Area (which takes into account the needs to reduce pollutant emissions, mainly CO2 and PM10).
