Reconstruction of Wał Miedzeszyński Street on the section from the roundabout with Trakt Lubelski Street to the junction with the planned S2 express route
The project concerns the section of ul. Wał Miedzeszyński with a length of approx. 0.97 km from the roundabout intersection with ul. Lubelski route to the “Wał Miedzeszyński” junction with the S2 expressway, commissioned by GDDKiA.The road has two carriageways with a width of 7 m and a dividing strip with a width of 1.75 m. The section ends at the intersection with Ogórkowa and Rosiczki streets, which are connected to local roads on both sides of ul. Wał Miedzeszyński. Along the roud section, ul. Wał Miedzeszyński provides for the liquidation of individual and public conventions. The adjacent area is served by access roads parallel to the main road. The access roads are connected to the main route through two junctions with traffic lights and Przewodowa and Ogórkowa streets. The intersection with ul. Trakt Lubelski was constructed as a turbine roundabout.
The completed section of the road has a street cross-section with drainage provided through street inlets to the planned rainwater drainage system. Pedestrian traffic takes place on both-sided sidewalks, 2.0 m wide, located on local roads, while bicycle traffic is carried out on separate bicycle paths and local roads on general terms.
