Extension of National Road No. 81 (DK 81) from the interchange of the A4 Motorway with National Road No. 86 (DK 86) to the constructed interchange with Armii Krajowej Street, Stage IV- Extension of DK 81 on the section of Kościuszki Street with the construction of Armii Krajowej interchange.
The aim of the project is the extension of National Road No. 81 (DK 81) from the interchange of the A4 Motorway with National Road No. 86 (DK 86) to the constructed interchange with Armii Krajowej Street- Stage IV. The investment is located in Piotrowice-Ochojec District. The principal part of the project is the extension of the section of National Road No. 81 (Kościuszki Street) with a length of 1.44 km along with the construction of a two-level grade-separated partly collision-free junction at the intersection with Armii Krajowej Street with a double-lane turbo-roundabout, which via DK 86 provides access to the A4 Motorway included in the TEN-T Core Network.
National Road No. 81 (Kościuszki Street) is connected with TEN-T (Roads) Core Network Corridor via DK 86 and the interchange “Murckowska” at the intersection with the A4 Motorway.
Thanks to the investment a modern road infrastructure will be developed and bottlenecks will be eliminated. Missing elements of the existing road infrastructure will be supplied and environmental impacts of transport will be reduced.
The implementation of the project will contribute to the improvement of the local traffic flow (from point A to point B) as well as to the improvement of transit traffic on national roads The adopted transport solutions will improve and facilitate transport service in this area.
The implementation of the project pursues the attainment of a strategic goal which involves the construction and modernization of technical and social infrastructure, which is of fundamental importance for increasing the competitiveness of the region. It provides the most convenient connection which increases the accessibility of areas directly adjacent to the investment as well as to areas located on further sections of the National Road No. 81 (DK 81).
