perspective
2014 - 2020

The construction of a landing area is a part of the project owing to which the Trauma Centre for Children [Polish abbreviation: CUD – meaning “miracle”] will be opened at our health care centre. The youngest patients from the entire region who suffered serious injuries will be referred there.  The landing area is supposed to be ready to use in the middle of next year. The landing area will be located between buildings no. 4, 5, 20 and KS, where most wards, including the Hospital Emergency Ward, are found. The landing ground and buildings located nearby will be equipped with navigation lights so that helicopters could land at night as well. The value of the landing area construction investment amounts to PLN 6 million. Apart from the construction of the landing area, works aimed at adapting the wards to safeguard direct communication with the landing area and purchase of equipment for the Trauma Centre for Children are planned. The construction is scheduled to begin on 1 September 2017 and finish in the second half of 2018. Funds for the execution of the project come from the Community subsidy for the State, the Self-Government of Pomorskie Voivodeship and the Company.

OP IE Managing Authority has created a mechanism that allows signalling potential irregularities or malpractices with regard to the use of Community funds as part of the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment. All cases of irregularities can be reported to an email address: naduzycia.POIS@mir.gov.pl or through a special form. The adopted solution will facilitate project execution in an ethical and transparent manner. As part of the subsidy from the OP IE funds our Company is executing the project titled “Investment in infrastructure of Copernicus Podmiot Leczniczy Sp. z o.o. to achieve full operability of the Trauma Centre for Children based in the Nicolaus Copernicus Hospital in Gdańsk”, covering among others the construction of the helicopter landing area.

More information about the mechanism can be found on the Managing Authority’s website (http://www.pois.gov.pl/nieprawidlowosci).
