Modernization of radiotherapy units of the Center of Oncology - Institute in Warsaw
The project aims to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare services in the field of cancer by modernizing and upgrading the equipment base of the radiotherapy department of the Oncology Institute. The activities provided for in the project are justified from the point of view of actual demand for radiotherapy services. Acquired gas pedals are characterized by parameters meeting the requirements of modern medicine, ensuring maximum effectiveness with minimization of adverse side effects. The necessity of replacement of worn out gas pedals resulted from the assumptions of maps of health needs of Mazovian region, which assumed improvement of radiotherapy quality and achievement of 1 gas pedal per 200 thousand inhabitants, with the average annual number of about 400 patients, recommended by the society. This is recommended by international societies.
